How much is the UK visa fee in naira?
You pay in pounds, so the naira cost moves with the exchange rate. To estimate, multiply the pound amount by today's rate on your bank card, and add a small buffer for bank charges. Many Nigerian cards have international spending limits, so confirm yours before you start the payment.
Extra costs to budget for
- Immigration Health Surcharge for visas over 6 months, paid upfront for the full visa length.
- VFS Global appointment in Lagos or Abuja; optional services such as priority processing cost extra.
- TB test from an approved clinic, required for stays over 6 months.
- English test such as IELTS for UKVI if your course or job requires it.

How to pay the UK visa fee from Nigeria
- Apply on the official GOV.UK website.
- Pay the health surcharge (if needed) and the application fee online by card.
- Book and attend your biometrics appointment at the VFS centre.
